The opposition again demanded early elections
The cracks in the non-coalition have given the opposition parties a reason to demand again the dissolution of the 49th National Assembly and early parliamentary elections.
"Vazrazhdane" believes that the clashes between the two power sharing political factions are not about principles and policies, but about posts and ministerial seats.
"After last night WCC-DB called Mariya Gabriel "the beautiful face of the mafia", now they will negotiate again with "the beautiful face of the mafia". WCC-DB, for their part, which GERB used as washing powder, would again have no problem to be used but as handkerchiefs this time," said Kostadin Kostadinov, chairman of “Vazrazhdane” Group.
According to Kornelia Ninova, the leader of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, what is happening in the non-coalition is the normal end of an abnormal deal.
"They dressed this deal in Euro-Atlantic wrapping, which tore yesterday, you saw that there is nothing Euro-Atlantic in such behaviour. Borissov is afraid for himself and the only thing he wants is to survive, and therefore he burns everything around. If WCC-DB squats again after yesterday's carry-on, this is the bottom of human dignity and political morality," said Kornelia Ninova, chairwoman of the BSP for Bulgaria group.
“There is Such a People” accused GERB-UDF and WCC-DB of not really thinking about the strategic goals of the country at all.
"Our position is clear – even our opinion is that in such a situation the cleanest thing would be to go to elections, but maybe once again we will see the twist in the plot, this "plottwist", to see how friendship, brotherhood and love triumph," said Ivaylo Valchev - Deputy Chairman of the “There is Such a People” parliamentary group.
All three opposition parliamentary groups see snap elections as a way out of the situation.
