"There is Such a People" party refused talks with GERB-UDF on forming a cabinet

The party "There is Such a People" on April 22 stated that it refuses to participate in talks with GERB-UDF on proposed cabinet.

Dear Ms. Atanasova, in response to your invitation we declare that even before the constitution of this Parliament , the paty "There is Such a People" clearly stated that it will not participate in talks with parties of the status quo. GERB party is a main symbol of the status quo and we refuse to take part in talks with them," the official statement said.

"We will probably return the mandate today. When are you going to the media to explain the program intentions of the new government, which obviously has a majority of over 160 people in this hall, you can change the Constitution with that," said Toma Bikov from GERB-UDF in response.

The request was to hold talks with "There is Such a People". The outgoing Prime Minister and leader of GERB Boyko Borissov said that if it declines the invitation for consultations, GERB will return the mandate.

“Democratic Bulgaria” has already stated firmly that the cabinet line-up proposed by the largest parliamentary group in Parliament, GERB-UDF, cannot rely on their votes.
