TISP leader Slavi Trifonov: The MPs that will leave the TISP group have been most likely bought with money or posts
Leader of “There Is Such a People” (TISP) party, Slavi Trifonov, said in a Facebook post on June 13, that he had just received information that MPs from "There is Such a People” will leave the parliamentary group. They will support PM Kiril Petkov and Deputy PM Assen Vassilev from “We Continue the Change”. Most likely they have been bought with money and posts. It is yet to be seen who will become what," Slavi Trifonov wrote.
"I don't need to be a fortune teller to know that they will tell a bunch of lies and fabrications in the style of Kiril and Assen, only to justify their actions and soothe their guilty conscience. But betrayal is betrayal, after all, and nobody likes traitors. Not even those who profit from them.
After all, power may not be an end in itself for me, but it clearly is for others. They have to look in the mirror in the morning. Such is life. The truth is, I feel ashamed by this whole story, but also relieved. Because in a battle it is better to have friends by your side than traitors," Trifonov said.
Earlier today, "24 chasa" daily newspaper reported that 7 MPs from the parliamentary group of "There is Such a People” will leave it. They were organised by the resigned sports minister Radostin Vassilev, who was against leaving the government. The MPs were to leave the group, although they do not yet have a firm agreement with “We Continue the Change” and have yet to expect partnership offers, the publication added.
At the same time, “We Continue the Change” MP Atanas Mihnev said in Stara Zagora that "We Continue the Change" had found part of the necessary number of MPs to secure a majority in the National Assembly.
