Traffic Police launches speed control operation

Traffic Police will carry out a specialized speed control operation from today, January 22 to January 27.

The operation is initiated following the negative results from last week, when 37,000 vehicles and more than 44,000 motorists were checked.

The police officers established more than 1,400 violations; 53 motorists were caught drug-driving and 142 drink-driving.

It is worrying that in small towns, the police caught a total of 197 people, who were driving without a license.
