Two Bulgarian scientists awarded 'Ordre des Palmes Académiques' by the French Ambassador to Bulgaria
The French Ambassador to Bulgaria, Joël Meyer, awarded two Bulgarian scientists - prof. Kiril Angelov and Assoc. Prof. Ivan Stoynev with the Ordre des Palmes Académiques (Order of Academic Palms) on May 15.
Professor Angelov is Dean of the Faculty of French Studies in Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Sofia. Thanks to his efforts, the diploma students receive is recognized by the Engineering Degrees Committee in France.
Associate Professor Stoynev is a specialist in European Union law and the head of an international master's programme. The scientists helps develop French culture, science and art.
Prof. Kiril Angelov: "French culture opens not only the mind, it opens many doors, many opportunities. It enriches enormously. I do not put a full stop. It's just an exclamation mark, after which I keep working even more motivated."
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivan Stoynev: "A very large number of our lawyers and humanities graduates have graduated and have been strongly influenced by French culture. In fact, this is a recognition, but also quite a great obligation, because it makes us, especially now, even more able to continue with our efforts, to build on."
