Two killed, mother and child fighting for life after car crash near Montana

Two people died and a 5-year-old child, his mother and a man are figthing for life after a head-on crash near Montana, North-Western Bulgaria.

The accident happened yesterday, June 27, on the Montana – village of Prevala road. The accident was reported to the emergency number at about 17.20. The driver of one of the cars entered the wrong side of the road, driving into the oncoming traffic and crashed into the other car. One of the drivers, aged 50, died on the spot. In the back seat of the same car were a mother and her five-year-old child, who suffered serious injuries and were taken to the “Dr. Stamen Iliev” Hospital, where they were admitted with life-threatening injuries.

The 51-year-old driver of the other car has severe injuries to his lower limbs. His alcohol test was negative, he was also admitted to the nearest hospital in Montana and is in life-threatening condition. The passenger from the car of the surviving driver died after being transported to the hospital in Montana.

Pre-trial proceedings were initiated.

The work on the case continues at the Montana police station.
