Ukrainian street art artist opens his first exhibition in Sofia
Art works of Ukrainian children who fled the war with their parents, an exhibition of an artist from Kharkiv and a special Art performance were presented at the Centre for Culture and Art in Sofia House.
Live painting on 5 metres of stretch film at Sofia House opened the exhibition "The Birds" by Ukrainian artist Andriy Palval, who arrived in April from Kharkiv. In Sofia, he is trying to create a new life for his three children and his wife.
Since 2000, he has been painting graffiti and developing in the style of murals. As a street art artist, Palval is known for his projects in Ukraine, Germany, Denmark, Pakistan, China, Vietnam and the Philippines. In Bulgaria, together with Stanislav Trifonov-Nassimo, they painted the image of Vassil Levski on a school wall in the town of Breznik. Andrei is a biologist by education, specialty is "Ornithology", so birds are his passion.
Together with the exhibition "The Birds", the Ukrainian children from the art workshop "Good Creativity" at the "Sofia House" are also presented at the Culture and Art Centre.
Since the very beginning of the establishment of the children's art workshop, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees has financially supported the children's activities and also purchased the materials for the Ukrainian artist's work.
All paintings presented at the exhibition are for sale.
