"Vazrazhdane" sent two draft decisions to parties that want sanitary cordon around Delyan Peevski
"Vazrazhdane" party sent two draft decisions to the parties that want a sanitary cordon around Delyan Peevski and his Movement for Rights and Freedoms – New Beginning, the party said on November 8. It added that the decisions were not sent to GERB.
The formation pointed out that the draft decisions had already been sent to the coalition We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (WCC-DB) in response to their proposal for sanitary cordon around Peevski.
As a guarantee of the authenticity of the intentions of the WCC-DB to really create a sanitary cordon around Peevski, “Vazrazhdane" asked the coalition to sign two draft decisions on issues important for our country, which Peevski opposes, as he is for the adoption of the euro and for the destruction of coal-fired plants," the party wrote.
One of the draft resolutions is to hold a referendum on the preservation of the Bulgarian lev with the question: 'Do you agree that the Bulgarian lev should be the only official currency in Bulgaria until 2043?'
The second draft decision is to oblige the Council of Ministers to take the necessary actions to preserve jobs, coal mining and electricity production in the Maritsa East complex. It asks the National Assembly to oblige the Council of Ministers to immediately suspend all administrative, legal and executive actions aimed directly and/or indirectly at the early termination of the operation of the coal-fired facilities that are part of the Maritsa East complex.
"We hope for the position of the representatives of the political parties on the proposals made by "Vazrazhdane" in the form of draft decisions. We hope that the declarations for a sanitary cordon around Peevski are not just words, as they turned out to be in the past days, the positions of the political parties regarding the annulment of the elections - a lot of words and no actions," the message further states.
On November 2, the WCC-DB sent to the parliamentary political forces a "Declaration for the liberation of institutions and the electoral process from corrupt influences."
The coalition noted that support for the proposed document is a necessary initial condition for political consultations to begin related to the constitution of the new National Assembly.
It is aimed at the 51st National Assembly to limit the abuse of power and illegal methods of influence that the leader of the party "MRF - New Beginning" Delyan Peevski exercises, WCC-DB said, adding that they expect a response and reaction from the political forces to which the declaration was sent.
