The world-famous Bulgarian violinist, Vasko Vassilev, on February 26 played on the tops of Pirin mountain for the Ski World Cup and the World Championship for youth in alpine skiing from March 1 to 10 held in the ski resort Bansko.

At 2,525 m above sea level, he performed "Winter" from Vivaldi's “Four Seasons” on Calcagni violin made in 1714.

Vasko Vassilev came all the way from Valencia to Bulgaria, at the invitation of the Bulgarian Ski Federation, to play his magic violin under the snowy peaks of Pirin Mountain.

He has always impressed not only with his talent, but also with his love for Bulgaria and its beautiful places.

His inspiration this time comes from the Pirin Mountains, where he spends three days from sunrise to late at night on the snow-white slopes.

"The most valuable memory is the sunrise in Pirin, under Todorka peak, when shortly after 7.00 in the morning you see nature waking up. It is a fantastic feeling - both bringing you to the ground and cosmic," says Vasko Vassilev.
