Wanted by Interpol Bulgarian Krasimir Kamenov-Kuro and his wife murdered in their home in South Africa
Krassimir Kamenov-Kuro and his wife were killed in Cape Town, BNT learned from sources. They were shot dead at their home in South Africa. Two other people, whose identities are being established, were also killed.
Local police also reported the case. The news bulletin said the bodies of two women and two men were found with gunshot wounds around 8.20 this morning in Constance, Cape Town. They are apparently aged between 40 and 50 years and are believed to be of Bulgarian descent.
The motive for the murder is being established. Investigators are working at the scene. Detectives from the Serious and Violent Crime Unit have been assigned to the case.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the Bulgarian embassy in South Africa has been informed of the murder of four people in Cape Town, who are believed to be Bulgarian citizens. So far, no official information has been received from the relevant authorities in the country of accreditation. The Bulgarian overseas mission is seeking official information from the authorities in the country and will forward it to the competent authorities in Bulgaria as soon as it is received.
Kamenov has been charged in absentia by the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office as the mastermind of the murder of Lyubomir Ivanov, a former Ministry of Interior official who was ostentatiously shot dead in Sofia in early 2022.
In late April, Kamenov was declared wanted on a red notice by Interpol.
In parallel, the Prosecutor’s Office accused Kamenov of being part of a plot involving other criminals, as well as defendants such as former banker Tsvetan Vassilev, in a plot to discredit senior magistrates and police officers.
According to the BNT sources, Kuro's connection with three other murders is also being investigated, that of the VIS boss Meto Ilienski, and that of the "Byzantine Brothers" - Radoslav and Nikolai Bikov.

Commenting on the news of the murder of Krasimir Kamenov - Kuro, Bulgaria's Prosecutor General, Ivan Geshev, said "we are returning to the times of the mafia".
Geshev came to the National Assembly for the meeting of the legal affairs committee, which will at second reading discuss the mechanism for investigation of crimes allegedly committed by the Prosecutor General.
He again confirmed that he has no intention of resigning and that he will serve out his term in office "in the name of the Bulgarian citizens".
