Water rationing introduced in Lovech and Teteven

A new water rationing is being introduced in Lovech,(Northern-Central Bulgaria) due to the ongoing drought and the significantly reduced flow of the main water source that supplies the city - the Cherni Osam water supply group. The water supply will now be stopped from 10:00 to 16:00 and from 23:00 to 6:00, said the Water and Sewerage Company – Lovech on October 23.

This is the fourth change in water rationing since October 5. The time without water in the day is extended by another two hours. In the village of Prelom water supply will be provided from 8:00 to 19:00 for two days starting from October 25.

Restrictions on the use of water for drinking and domestic purposes continue, the use of drinking water for watering green areas, washing balconies, streets and motor vehicles is prohibited.

The water supply company also informs that in connection with the strong decrease in the flow rates of the water sources used for the drinking water supply of Teteven and in order to ensure sufficient water quantities for the drinking water needs of the population, from today a water regime is also introduced in Teteven, and the water supply to the town will be stopped every day from 22:30 to 6:30 and from 12:00 to 16:00 during the day.
