Wildfire in a pine forest near Kalrovo is getting bigger

The wildfire in the pine forest above Karlovo (central Bulgaria) continues to grow. It has already engulfed an area of 40 decares.

Some 30 employees of the State Forestry, firefighters, volunteers are on-site. The military from the Stryama Mechanized Brigade was also called in to support and help.

Compositions of hoses and petrol pumps have been built to supply water to extinguish the fire. It is burning in an area which extremely difficult to access due to rocks and steep slopes. I can only be reached on foot.
