Winter conditions cause power outages in 17 settlements in Gabrovo region, 20 cm snow cover at Shipka
A failure on the transmission network caused by snowfall resulted in power outages in 17 settlements in the municipality of Gabrovo, central northern Bulgaria. Technical teams are working to fix the problem and restore the supply.
The villages around Kmetovtsi, as well as in the direction of Tsareva Livada, remained without electricity.
The streets in the town are being sanded and the roads in the higher parts of the municipality are being cleaned. The snow cover there is 8 - 10 cm.
Municipal public transport runs on time, with exception of the routes in the direction of Trunito village.
At "Shipka" and "Republika" passes, visibility is limited due to heavy snowfall. The snow cover in the area reaches up to 20 cm in places.
