With 100% of ballots counted: GERB-UDF wins Bulgaria's April 2 early general elections
Data based on ballots from 100% of the voting protocols processed in the Central Election Commission show that GERB-UDF wins the April 2 early parliamentary elections.
Former Prime Minister Boyko Borissov's GERB-UDF coalition won the largest share of votes and is two points ahead of the coalition of another former Prime Minister, Kiril Petkov, - “We Continue the Change” – “Democratic Bulgaria”. “Vazrazhdane” are third, accredited with 14.15% of the vote, followed by the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF),with 13.72%.
The socialist party came fifth.
The party of TV presenter, Slavi Trifonov, "There is Such a People", return to Parliament, winning 4.11% of the votes.
- GERB-UDF – 26.51% (669,361 votes)
- “We Continue the Change”-"Democratic Bulgaria" – 24.54% (619,592 votes)
- "Vazrazhdane" - 14.15% (357,167 votes)
- “Movement for Rights and Freedoms” - 13.72% (346,437 votes)
- "Bulgarian Socialist Party” - 8.94% (225, 814 votes)
- “There is Such a People” - 4.11% (103,641 votes)
Remaining below the 4% threshold were:
- “Bulgaria Ascending”- 3.08% (77,804 votes)
“The Left” coalition - 2.24% (56,453 votes)
A total of 108,842 people marked “I do not support anyone” on the ballot paper.
Voter turnout as at 20.00 on April 2 is 40.63%, data of Central Election Commission shows.
