With 97.42% of ballots counted: GERB-UDF leads in Bulgaria's April 2 early general elections ; 6 parties enter next Parliament
Data based on ballots from 97.42% of the voting protocols processed in the Central Election Commission show that 6 parties will enter the next Parliament.
GERB-UDF is accredited with 26.59% of the vote, a point and a half ahead of “We Continue the Change” – “Democratic Bulgaria”.
Data as at 12.00 on April 3 shows:
- GERB-UDF – 26.59% (654, 492 votes)
- “We Continue the Change”-"Democratic Bulgaria" –24.84% (611,282 votes)
- "Vazrazhdane" - 14.32% (352,440 votes)
- “Movement for Rights and Freedoms” - 13.01% (320,216 votes)
- "Bulgarian Socialist Party” - 8.98% (220,987 votes
- “There is Such a People” - 4.15% (102,128 votes)
Remaining below the 4% threshold were:
- “Bulgaria Ascending”- 3.12% (76,738 votes)
- “The Left” coalition - 2.26% (55,569 votes)
A total of 107 384 people marked “I do not support anyone” on the ballot paper.
