Covid-19: The village of Izgrev under lockdown until June 25
The village of Izgrev, Shoumen district was placed under lockdown in the evening on June 11 until June 25. The measure was introduced after 17 people from the village tested positive for coronavirus.
The police cars are already on the entry and exit routes of the village. It will remain under quarantine for 14 days, but also under police guard. In the coming days, the police will monitor the compliance with the requirement to enter or leave the village only if it is urgent, according to the order issued late this afternoon by the Regional Health Inspectorate in Shoumen. Police will check quarantined people for compliance with the requirements of the health authorities.
Wearing masks in the village is mandatory in indoor and outdoor public places. All markets are closed except those that sell agricultural products. Large public gatherings, including celebrations are temporarily banned,
Only water supply, electricity, ambulances and cars supplying grocery stores will be allowed unhindered. The reason for the transmission of the infection in the village of Izgrev has already become clear.
The village of Izgrev is under a 14-day quarantine due to the large number of people diagnosed with Covid-19. Initially, three people were registered, then another 12 for a day. Therefore, mass testing of the residents began in the morning. 300 tests will be conducted within three days.
Ercan Tefik, Mayor of the village of Izgrev, explained that first those who are incontact with many people will be tested - the health service staff, the town hall, the community cultural centre, the post office, the primary school and of course their families.
According to the district governor of Shoumen, the great mobility of the local population was a prerequisite for the transmission of the infection in the village of Izgrev.

The mayor of the regional municipality said that at the same time as the testing, an awareness campaign was underway to explain the need for social distance and the compulsory wearing of masks.
Since the start of the epidemic, Shoumen district reported 30 cases of coronavirus. Currently, 6 of them are in hospital, 5 being from the village of Izgrev.
