Health minister cancels compulsory wearing of masks in open public places
Following a meeting between Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, members of the government and the national task force against Covid-19, the Health Minister issued an order to cancel the compulsory wearing of masks in open public places.
The new order says that everyone in open public places, including parks, streets and bus stops, is required to comply with physical distancing and all anti-epidemic measures and, if it is necessary to be in contact with other people, to wear a face mask or other material covering the nose and mouth.
However, wearing of face masks in closed public places, such as shops, public transport, pharmacies, banks, remains compulsory.
