Varna airport resumes international flights
The airport of the Bulgarian coastal city of Varna has resumed international flights under strict organisation for checks of the arriving passengers. Two teams of the regional health inspectorate are working on site.
Last night and today, May 8, more than 400 passengers went through the airport, from two arriving flights from Germany, one from the Netherlands and one from the UK.
73 Bulgarians arrived today on a flight from Memmingen. They walked from the aircraft to the terminal and went through checks.
Despite the Mayor’s recommendation to not have public transport bus services for two hours after a flight has landed , the services were not stopped. There were no passengers who used the public transport, most rely on own transport.
All taxi drivers were warned to comply with the anti-epidemic measures.
For the past 24 hours, more than 300 people took flights out of Varna, most of them travelled to the UK.
