25-th SOFIA International Film Festival begins today

The autumn edition of the 25th "Sofia Film Festival" begins. Many directors, actors and screenwriters will come in person to present their films in the programme.

"MEETINGS with the FILMS" is the motto of the special edition. The screenings are planned to start in the open air in Sofia Summer Fest.

The festival begins with the premiere of the Bulgarian "Brighton 4" - the latest film by Georgian director Levan Koguashvili, who is a special guest at the festival. The film has won three awards at Tribeca.

The screenwriter of the film Tuve" arrives in Bulgaria to present the story of the world-famous writer Tove Jansson.

And the chair of the international jury, Theodore Ushev, has prepared a surprise for the audience - a selection of short films.
