52,000 Ukrainian refugees have received protection and reside in Bulgaria
A conference at Vrana Palace on November 5 discussed ways to improve refugee protection, socio-economic inclusion and easier integration.
There are nearly 120 million forcibly displaced people in the world, some of whom come to Bulgaria. After the start of the conflict in Ukraine, 52,000 refugees remained in this country to seek protection and to move on with their lives.
In the first three months of this year, 14,700 Ukrainians already have a job. However, Bulgaria remains one of the few EU countries without a national integration programme.
