This will be his first meeting with Bulgarian readers after winning the prestigious prize.
There will be a parallel programme in bookstores, literary clubs and other locations in the capital. The two forums are part of the Cultural Calendar of Sofia Municipality for 2023 and are implemented with the support of the National Culture Fund.
"Books give me wings. Being a literate person is a manifestation of self-respect, but being a literate person is also a manifestation of the effort to uphold the law of the Bulgarian language in an environment of people who write as they see convenient. The grammar of a language is its Constitution, it is respected without arbitrariness and deviations from the rules," caretaker said Prime Minister Galab Donev at the opening.
The book fair can be visited during the days between May 29 and June 4 from 10 am to 8 pm.
