Bulgarian railways offers free-of-charge train trips to children for International Children's Day, June 1st
On the occasion of the International Children's Day, June 1st, the Bulgarian state railways company, BDZ, will keep its good tradition this year as well and will offer free-of-charge travel to all children up to 14 years of age.
Young passengers can take advantage of this opportunity from 00:00 to 24:00 on 1 June on all passenger and express trains. If the journey starts on a night train departing before 24:00 on 1 June, the free-of-charge travel applies until the train arrives at the final station the following day.
Children's age must be verified by a copy of their birth certificate or other document proving their age, and by a “Child” and “Student” railway pass. Reserved seats for all train categories, sleeping berths and the difference for first class travel are subject to payment. Children up to 10 years of age should travel with an accompanying adult.
BDZ congratulates its youngest passengers on the upcoming International Children's Day and wishes them a happy childhood and summer holidays full of smiles and fun games.
