Bulgarian Socialist Party submits more than 200,000 signatures for a referendum against gender ideology at schools
The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) submits over 200,000 signatures for a referendum against gender ideology.
"We collected signatures for a referendum against gender ideology. As a teacher and principal, I have faced all kinds of attempts to break the education system. By holding the referendum, we want to draw attention, including the attention of parents. There are more and more signals that unpleasant things are happening. We have highlighted manifestations that have come to our attention of attempts to get all kinds of NGOs into schools to push gender ideology. Our effort is to tell this to the parents and not to allow the robbing of the souls of our children," said Irena Anastasova of the BSP on July 26.
"Within three months, the initiative committee with the assitance of the BSP, collected 208,269 signatures, which will be submitted to the Bulgarian Parliament. This is a very big victory. We have awakened as many consciences and parents as some of the parties in the Parliament have not gathered," said Adv. Sheytanov.
"I doubt they would allow this referendum either. They passed the domestic violence law. When this Euro-Atlantic majority passes such a law and rejects a referendum on the euro, I doubt they will accept this referendum either. Our concern is for children under 18. This is our cause," said Kornelia Ninova. BSP leader.
