Bulgaria’s tennis player, Grigor Dimitrov, won his first title in over two years and a half years with triumph over Japan’s Kei Nishikori in the men’s single’s final of the Brisbane International on Sunday, 8th of January.

The 25-year-old Bulgarian won his first match in four meetings with the Japanese third seed 6-2 2-6 6-3.

The match startet equal and Dimitrov closed the first set 6:2. The second set was almost a reverse of the first, with Dimitrov missing a breakpoint chance early before Nishikori rallied to win it in 33 minutes and level at 1-set apiece.

After the second set, Nishikori had a medical timeout.
