Bulgaria’s PM Kiril Petkov will visit Azerbaijan in relation to gas supplies
Prime Minister Kiril Petkov will visit Azerbaijan on Thursday, 16 June. He will participate in the Ninth Global Forum in Baku, organised by the NGO - Nizami Ganjavi International Center.
This year's edition of the forum is dedicated to the theme "Challenges to the global world order". The discussions will focus on the current geopolitical situation, the future of the global security architecture, energy security, globalisation and inequalities, the fight against climate change, etc.
Prime Minister Petkov will deliver a speech at the official opening of the Ninth Global Forum. The event will once again bring together current and former heads of state and government from over 50 countries, representatives of international financial institutions and non-governmental organisations, academics and journalists.
During his visit to Baku, the Bulgarian Prime Minister will hold a meeting with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The main topic of the talks will be cooperation in the energy sector, including the upcoming supply of Azeri gas to Bulgaria.
