Central Election Commision: Deadlines for announcing the results of June 9 two-in-one elections will be met
The snap elections for national Parliament and the regular European Parliament (EP) elections on June 9 passed normally and calmly, Central Election Commission (CEC) Spokesperson Rositsa Mateva told a news briefing on June 10.
A total of 148 voting machines stopped working during the elections. Of these, 134 were in the country and 14 were abroad.
CEC processed 106 complaints and appeals on election day.
The voter turnout as of 8 pm will be announced on CEC’s website after all the tally sheets of the polling station commissions are processed at 100%.
CEC will announce the results of the European Parliament elections and the distribution of seats by June 12.
The result and the distribution of seats in the Bulgarian National Assembly elections will be announced on June 13.
The names of the 17 representatives of Bulgaria in the EP will be announced on June 14.
The names of the 240 MPs in Bulgaria’s 50th Parliament will be announced on June 16.
The deadlines for processing the ballot papers and announcing the results will be met, she added.
