Chair of MRF PG Delyan Peevski": The ongoing anti-Bulgarian campaign led by politicians in North Macedonia should be stopped
The continued insulting statements about Bulgaria and the Bulgarians by political leaders from the Republic of North Macedonia once again showed that the Bulgarian side has not yet taken the necessary firm action to stop this wave of humiliation and insult to our country, Delyan Peevski, chairman of the MRF and MRF's Parliamentary Group, stated in a position sent to the media on September 20.
If we want to be at the level of the responsibility that the Bulgarian citizens have entrusted to us, all politicians and institutions should unite to defend our national honour and dignity, regardless of our political affiliations, the position paper said.
"We should insist on immediate and adequate action by Bulgarian institutions, mainly the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to the demonstrative anti-Bulgarian campaign led by politicians in the Republic of North Macedonia," he said, adding:
"These actions should include the involvement of the attention of the European institutions, as the enlargement of Europe is a strategic goal that should not be undermined by the possibility of the penetration of the European family by structures that already do not accept the policies of good neighbourliness, tolerance and unity and are conduits of dangerous Russian influence in the community."
