Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 290 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 290 from 1,651 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on August 22.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,233,760.

The active cases are 16,297.

Of the total, 990 patients are in hospitals, 49 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 86 recoveries;

• 65 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

• 3 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 71,03% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 66,67% had not been vaccinated.

There were 30 new hospitalisations, of which 90,00% had not been vaccinated.
