Energy Minister: Bulgaria has not given up intentions to renegotiate Recovery Plan
Bulgaria has not given up intentions to renegotiate the plan for economic recovery from the pandemic, but the process will be difficult, Rosen Hristov, caretaker energy minister, said in Brussels after talks at the European Commission on Mach 28.
Hristov is in Brussels to participate in the meeting of EU energy ministers.
The EC expects Bulgaria to show specific projects under the Plan.
In three weeks, there will be another meeting between the European Commission and representatives of Bulgaria.
If the country is not ready to close coal-fired plants, it should present alternatives for the percentage reduction of carbon dioxide emissions.
