Grain farmers demand meeting with the government over problems in the sector

the Bulgarian grain producers demand an emergency meeting with the government. They are on protest alert and warn that they are ready for effective action.

The National Association of Grain Growers points to a series of problems the sector faces, such as the effects of the war in Ukraine, the many environmental requirements, the Green Deal and prices on local and international markets in recent years that do not cover the high cost of production.

The Association is calling for an urgent meeting with the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, relevant ministries and the Ministry of Finance.
