"LB Bulgaricum" will sign a new contract in Japan

A new contract between the state-owned dairy company LB Bulgaricum and the Japanese company Meiji is expected to be signed in the autumn, announced the caretaker Minister of Economy and Industry Petko Nikolov in the National Assembly on August 9.

There he was heard at the request of We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria in relation to information about possible mismanagement in state-owned companies.

An inter-ministerial working group has been formed since July 15 to prepare a statement on the negotiation process. In addition to representatives of the Ministry of the Economy, it includes experts from the Patent Office, SANS, the State Consolidation Company.

The Minister explained the state of affairs in which LB Bulgaricum was when he took the post and the steps he had taken.

“I have witnessed serious tensions, on the one hand, the management, and on the other hand - the production base in Vidin, and here in Sofia. The trade unions were also quite tense in this situation. We have changed the entire management of LB Bulgaricum, we have stopped the tension between the employees in the enterprise and the management on the other hand. We raised wages immediately. We terminated a large number of unnecessary contracts," he said.
