Nikola Minchev tops the list of "We Continue the Change" for European Parliament elections

The Executive Council of "We Continue the Change" (WCC) on January 24 unanimously elected Nikola Minchev as the leader of the party's list for the upcoming European Parliament elections. The party will start talks with Democratic Bulgaria (DB) to run together at the European elections.

The leadership of the party has also defined the leading issues that WCC will defend within the European family. Regarding the joint appearance with their partners from DB Kiril Petkov and Assen Vassilev state that "unity in the democratic community is important if we are to have a strong voice in Europe".

"We believe that the leader of the list for the European elections should be the person who will best represent Bulgaria in Europe. Nikola was a successful Speaker of the Bulgarian Parliament, and we are convinced that from this position and experience he will not be just one of 700 MEPs, but will be a strong Bulgarian voice in European politics," said WCC Co-Chair Assen Vassilev.

In the European Parliament "We Continue the Change" will defend four main national priorities: a European income in a European Bulgaria; a change in the approach to migration in Europe; a strong economy in a clean nature; a protected Bulgaria with a strong army.

"Europe cannot be a global provider of social services at the expense of the security and well-being of its own citizens. On the contrary, we must strive to attract only people who are ready to integrate into the European society and contribute to the common good," said Kiril Petkov, chairman of the parliamentary group and co-chairman of "We Continue the Change".
