PM Glavchev reported on the work done by the caretaker government
There is a high probability that this will be the last regular meeting of the Council of Ministers, caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev said on August 7 at the weekly government meeting and made a report on what has been done so far by the caretaker government.
"Our main task was to organise fair and transparent elections, and I believe that nobody has objected that we organised them in exactly this way, even some things happened for the first time. At the Ministry of e-Governance, while validating the voting machines, the lot was drawn by representatives of the media. Then representatives of political parties and NGOs participated in the process of validating these machines."
He also highlighted the good cooperation with the Central Election Commission.
The other main task was to preserve Bulgaria's European path - this was also achieved, Glavchev said:
"Bulgaria's contribution was noted at all forums at the highest level - the European Council, the NATO summit. We have kept the path that we think should be followed. We continue the efforts for eurozone accession and land-based Schengen membership."
People's problems have turned out to be more than we imagined, but I think we are dealing with them too, the caretaker Prime Minister added.
