Police, Prosecutor’s office conduct joint operation against phone scammers

A large-scale operation against telephone fraudsters took place in Sofia and Gorna Oryahovitsa on 18^th of April. Gendarmerie blocked the Roma neighbourhood of Gorna Oryahovitsa, called Kaltinets. The investigation has targeted the person in charge of the criminal structure.

15 addresses have been searched since this morning in Gorna Oryahovitsa. There is currently no information about detained persons. Later today, Deputy Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev and Ivaylo Ivanov, Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, will give details of the operation.
