Representatives of businesses held protest against the Covid-19 green certificate
Restaurant and hotel businesses and workers on October 28 organised protest rallies in many cities across Bulgaria against the Covid-19 green certificate. They demand that the green certificate become obligatory for the state administration employees and that antibody test results should be used as basis for issuing such a green pass..
Their demands also include the state to provide free-of-charge rapid antigen tests.
In Sofia the protesters blocked the junction at Eagle Bridge for a short time and then reached the building of the Health Ministry where they demanded the latest order issued by the caretaker health mnster to be changed.
In addition to Sofia, protest rallies were also held in Varna, Rousse, Blagoevgrad, Plovdiv, Bourgas, Haskovo, Veliko Turnovo.

The Covid-19 “Green Certificate” was introduced through an order by the caretaker Minister of Health to take effect as of October 21. The certificate is mandatory for indoor access to restaurants, cinemas, gyms and shopping malls.
