A great success for Bulgarian mountaineering. Silvia Azdreeva successfully climbed the most difficult peak in the world - K2. Thus she became the first Bulgarian woman to climb the second highest peak in the world.

This is another success for Silvia in mountaineering. She is the first Bulgarian woman, who climbed Everest and Lhotse (in one expedition) in 27 hours.

This morning, July 28, the expedition organizers announced her latest achievement.

The first Bulgarian who climbed K2 was Boyan Petrov - in 2014, and five years later Stefan Stefanov set foot on the peak. So far, Silvia is the first Bulgarian female climber who achieved it.

Nearly 200 people are attempting K2 these days. So far, nearly 80 have been reported successful. One Pakistani high-altitude porter died at the bottleneck.
