Spike in Covid-19 cases in 16 districts in Bulgaria
An increase in morbidity is reported
An increase in the number of Covid-19 cases has been reported in 16 districts across the country, according to the National Centre for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases.
The 14-day incidence rate of coronavirus infection in those districts as at October 26 is between 60 and 120 cases per 100,000 people.
The largest number of Covid-19 infections was registered in the districts of Silistra and Bourgas – 112 cases per 100,000 people, followed by the district of Gabrovo - 104 per 100,000. The lowest incidence in the range of 60-120 per 100,000 was recorded in Vidin district - 61 per 100,000 population.
The lowest number of registered cases of the infection was in Kardzhali district - 10 per 100,000.
The requirement for seven-day quarantine of those infected with Covid-19 is still in force, as well as five-day isolation of their contacts.
