Strawberry and raspberry producers’ protest blocks traffic on Razgrad – Targovishte road

Producers of raspberries and strawberries staged protests across the country on March 21. They used agricultural machinery to block the traffic on the main road Razgrad - Targovishte.

The farmers are dissatisfied with the increased price of irrigation water and demand urgent measures to save their production.

The industry is worried that the increased price of water will lead to staff redundancies, reduced production, uprooting of gardens and bankruptcies.
