Trees most likely to fall during storms and high winds are being removed in Sofia
The stormy wind over the weekend knocked down trees, broke branches and took two victims - one in Varna and one in Sofia.
In the capital, the emergency service, together with "Green Systems", removed trees assessed as potentially dangerous and most likely to fall during storms and high winds.
"So far, 55 reports have been received and processed, mostly about fallen branches and trees or dangerously leaning trees which need to be removed quickly. There was one fatality in Sofia, an injured woman and a car on which a poplar tree fell on a bulevard in Sofia, "Krassimir Dimitrov, director of the Directorate of Emergency Aid and Prevention at Sofia Municipality, told BNT.
