Varna pulmonary hospital's power shut-off, TB patients sent home
Tuberculosis patients who were treated at pulmonary diseases hospital in the coastal city of Varna were sent home. The reason is the power cuts imposed a week ago by the electricity distribution company because of unpaid bills.
The amount owed by the hospital is now close to BGN 90,000.
"It is dangerous to be with their relatives because it is a contagious disease. No one has been paid their salary since February," said Dr. Hristo Ganchev, director of the hospital.
