"Vazrazhdane" leader's comments on election night: Bulgarian people slapped their own country with a huge sounding slap.
Today, the Bulgarian people gave their own country a big slap on the face, the leader of the nationalist Vazrazhdane party, Kostadin Kostadinov, said after the end of polling day in the national parliament elections and the European Parliament elections on June 9, 2024
"One thing is certain and it does not depend on any forecasts. The voter turnout was appallingly low. A little more than 30 percent for the National Assembly and a little more than 31 percent for the European Parliament. One of the big concerns of analysts, political analysts and everyone else who appears on the national media is that the turnout for the EP will be very low. It turns out to be even slightly higher than in the national parliamentary elections. This is a problem because during the campaign people were worried about vote rigging," Kostadinov stressed.
"The faster we throw out political garbage, twice as fast it accumulates again. Even a three-party coalition is questionable. We in “Vazrazhdane” will not support anybody else’s cabinet, except with the mandate of “Vazrazhdane”. As of now, the chances of “Vazrazhdane” becoming a second political force are very high," he said.
