Huge amounts of rain, raging rivers, overflowing dams and sea waves inundated the southern Black Sea coast for hours turning the resorts into flood hell on September 5.
Distressing pictures of houses and hotels flooded in water, cars and caravans swept into the sea, children and holidaymakers in distress in flooded buildings, and worst of all - people missing in the stormy waters, two of whom were reported dead this afternoon.

The situation is most serious in the area of Tsarevo. More than 100 people have been evacuated. Children remain isolated in hotels. The situation is severe in the village of Kosti, Strandzha region, where 330 litres per square metre of rain have been measured.

The water disaster also passed through the campsites "Arapya" and "Nestinarka", Ahtopol, Varvara, Lozenets, Sinemorets and Rezovo.
During the day, the road between Sozopol and Primorsko was closed because the Ropotamo river overflowed.
The army joined the efforts to help. The Prime Minister and ministers are on the ground in the disaster area.
