Kiril Petkov responds to Peevski's comments about the gang of political caricatures: Let's say things straight
In a Facebook post on November 5, We Continue the Change co-leader, Kiril Petkov, commented on Peevski's position, distributed to the media.
"Let's say things straight concerning Peevski's outburst this morning! First, phantoms have no rights, and there are many phantoms in Peevski's party. Only in Garmen (a village in Blagoevgrad district, Southwestern Bulgaria) there are about a hundred of them.

Second, a real political leader is not the one who falsifies democracy, but the one who fights with ideas to win the hearts and minds of the people. If we were political opponents on the basis of ideology, even with opposing views, I would have the necessary respect," Petkov wrote.
Petkov further commented that cheating the system and ending up in Parliament as a product of a falsification of democracy is not dignified and does not show strength.
And to rely on a dirty system that keeps a woman in detention for no real reason for six months, away from her children, and then feel forced to give false testimony against a political opponent, is ugly and immoral," Petkov writes.
In martial arts, winning with dirty tactics or a bought referee rather than better fighing technique is considered a humiliating weakness. So if the Constitutional Court rules a new election and Peevski runs without buying votes, without a forced and corporate vote, without the voting protocols being forged, then he can talk to me about his civil rights. Now for me his party is illegally elected and our answer is a sanitary cordon!"

The woman Petkov is referring to is the former Director of the Bulgarian Customs Agency, Petya Bankova, who was arrested for smuggling. Recently, she provided information to the authorities about alleged wrongdoings by WCC-DB co-leader Assen Vassilev during his term as Finance Minister.
As a witness, she pointed out that Vassilev wanted to receive commission from the company "Smith's Detection", which produces scanners for inspection.
Bankova's testimony revealed that Vassilev was seeking a way to directly contract with "Smith Detection" and bypass the Public Procurement Act.
Vassilev denied being involved in such a scheme, saying that these are false claims.
